My recent dining experience at Taste of Thailand was exceptional. The friendly staff provided excellent service and guided me through the menu since it was my first time there. I started with the Tom Kha soup with chicken and chose the medium level of spiciness. For my main course, I chose the Taste of Thailand Pasta with chicken, which had a creamy and flavorful sauce. I chose the medium spice lever for it also and felt that it was very well-balanced for the total dish. The Thai Iced Tea was the perfect accompaniment to my meal, counterbalancing the spiciness of the dishes. Although I don't frequent this area often, I would definitely return to this restaurant if the opportunity arises.
I want to make an announcement that Momma Sida has moved locations , She is still in business & still serving REAL authentic Thai Food !! She moved from 121 Jonesboro road !! 1395 Southlake Pkwy Morrow, GA 30260 is the New and improved Location ! It is located right across the street from the Harley Davidson center . The vibe is welcoming , the service is amazing & the food is better than ever ! She has been in business for over 32 years and still has her magic touch . This is the ONLY THAI RESTAURANT that Momma Sida is associated with !!
I did a review on this restaurant almost 10 years ago and the food has still been consistently good. I ordered the chicken coconut soup hot pot and the avocado shrimp which was delicious along with the appetizer platter that has a little bit of everything and it did not disappoint. The owner of the restaurant came out from the kitchen just to verify the food was high quality and it was. If you're in the Jonesboro area and you're looking for really good Thai food please stop it Taste of Thailand.
I'm going back! I ordered the drunken noodle with beef and the cream cheese rolls. Both were amazing. Can we say "portion size"? I ate on those noodles for 2 days and not ashamed of it because the portion sizes are huge and it may have tasted better on the second day because the seasonings settled in. Anyway, whenever I try a place for the first time.. I like to go in and see what's going on. My observation: steady traffic, people getting food to go and eating in, and I think I met the owner (based off previous review pics). The only con was there was a wait, but it was the weekend and food was worth it. Looking forward to trying something else on the menu.
